Surface Go 2 review

I think it's for familiesthat need a second computer for their kid who is now doing all of their school work at home. I think it's for gadgetheads who just wanna tiny, cool, little computer that's, that's me by the way. But I kinda hate breakinggadgets down demographically. I hate saying if you wanna touch screen and you wanna tabletand if you need Windows, and if you want a small computer, or if you wanna savemoney, plus if you're Virgo or if you're a Scorpio. Look, you get the idea. So well, I fit in the middle of one of those Venn diagramsfor the Surface Go 2 because I love tiny computers and I know how to work with it whenthere're many, many limitations. I don't think that the Go 2 works for the large Venn diagram of people who just wanna use a computer. And I think I can explainwhy, so let's do that. Should we just get into it? We should get into it, let's get into it. (soft music) Now, if you're unfamiliarwith these Surface Go line, it...

Level Up Twice As Fast With This Device | Dual Catchmon Review

Just when you thought pokemon go techcouldn't get any more niche here it is what's up I'm Mike a Pokemon master intraining and welcome to bendertube where you get bite-sized tutorials and tech reviews that let you knowif you should get it or forget it if you're new here hit the subscribe buttonand click for notifications so you don't miss out on anything in the last coupleof months a new device has come out that have you been asking about it's like agotcha but it's for trainers run in two accounts it's called the dual catchmonand I had them send me one out for review now that's for my honest opinionregardless if I pay for something or it's sent to me you can always expect ithonest opinion at first glance it looks like the top of a pokestop just incase you ever got confused what you're actually using this device for but thegood news is even though it comes the lanyard it's more meant to sit a bag orin your pocket if your pants allow it so so setup is slightly more involved than theother devices but only cause you're doing it to two phones on one device go tothe Pokemon go plus settings press the button on the dual catchmon and you'll seea green light flash on one of the pokemon go pluses in there click it connectto it go to your other phone click the other button on the dual catchmon andfollow the same process both are set up now not too not too intimidating you'renot gonna break a sweat now unlike the Gotcha it doesn't have a screen and youalso can't disable the auto functions on it that's a little bit odd but you canfix that by going into the

Pokemon go plus settings menu turn off findingnearby Pokemon or spinning nearby pokestops so for the most part the LED andcolor patterns the options don't matter there because in-game when you're tryingto catch pokemon and spin stops whether you caught it or not there's no sound orvibration from it just whatever your phone notification gives you which I Ido respect that the only time it's going to beep or buzz in-game is if you're outof pokeballs your item storage is full or you're going by the pokestop toofast and it didn't get it before you're out of range other than that yoursettings denote your connection sound and vibration functions blue is for yourBluetooth connection to your phone so you can choose to disconnect by holdingthat down Green is for your sound once again that's only gonna go off duringcertain times so if it's in your bag or in your purse or something whateven worry about it I would just turn that off so it doesn't even bug you atall the last one is purple which is your vibration settings you can turn it offbut it doesn't totally turn it off yes those in-game those three in-game thingsI said before it's not gonna buzz during those but it'll still vibrate when itconnects to your phone it's gonna vibrate if it's not connected to adevice and it's gonna vibrate if there's some connection problems with theinternet there's also no setting for previously undiscovered Pokemon so ifyou're trying to fill out your Unova Dex you might want to turn off the featurealtogether because you might miss out on those it's also weird that it doesn'thave it because every other device on the market has that feature even thebasic pokemon go plus has a separate yellow LED for that to show you that heyyou might want to go in game and try to catch this one thing I do like is that

you don't have to press any buttons or anything once you initially pair to itafter that you don't have to worry about you just open up the game click on thaticon in the right-hand corner and you're connected that for me is a blessing anda curse though because this does not have an on/off switch so it stays instandby mode which yes standby mode is about a month if you don't use it at allit's a month 22 to 30 days then it can stay in standby mode and justautomatically connect problem with that is it's not or chargeable so insteadthis takes two AAA batteries which the makers of the dual catchmon say isadvantage but I see it the other way around here just from a cost standpointyeah okay so I have to changed out these every monththat's 24 triple-a batteries I could probably buy a pack of those for like 10bucks if I buy the amazonbasics ones but it's gonna cost me less than 10 bucks ifI was just recharging it at home and paying my electric bill now like I said this ismeant to run two accounts at once for me that means if my girls working I can goand play the game for her or what happens in most cases is that mygirlfriend goes and plays for me during Community Dayand honestly that just makes her life a lot easier for other people thoughpeople that actually have two accounts for themselves this means with minimaleffort you could just sit there and farm XP farm Stardustlike seriously throw in a star piece a lucky egg some incense boom you're gonnabe leveling up in no time on two different accountsand that gets us to GI/FI time that's get it or forget it oh if youwant to get a GI/FI or bender tube shirt you can get one for yourself nowlinks in the description so is the duel catchmon worth it if you're running oneaccount no if you have two phones and two Pokemon Go accounts well thenmaybe let me explain the dual catchmon is 80 bucks for that same price you canget two gotchas and have more features being able to turn off the auto featureshave a screen it's rechargeable and run them separately on two devices the onlyreal advantage with the dual catchmon is that it connects to two devices inone package and that it can reconnect faster since you don't have to interactwith it after initial pairing now what I would like to see them do is pull off acatchmon for single accounts and a new version of the dual catchmon and ifthey think that batteries is an advantage fine let's run with that butlet's make it like a GPS handheld unit back in like 2013 2014 where you canhave batteries or rechargeable batteries and there's a USB port in there so youcould charge those it could be micro USB USB-C I don't care either one is finewith me although I'd prefer USB-C pop that in there you can recharge thedevice if you want if it runs out then fine I'll go throw something I grabbedat Walgreens in but let us have the choice also just put it on off switch onit okay I like the standby time that's fine anddandy

when I'm using it and then after that our needs to reconnect all thatstuff is fine but put it on off switch on it because you know what there's atleast eight hours of my day that I can't use this and it's just wasting my moneyby it being in low-power mode now another reason I said having the USBport on there is because it needs to be able to get firmware updates we'vealready seen it where the gotcha where niantic made a little change and allof a sudden it was completely useless for like a month and a half two monthsgeez there's two months yeah two months you paid money it's unusable if anythinghappens to this where niantic makes another change to Bluetooth connection timingsor anything it's useless I can't do anything with it and God knows they are probablynot gonna swap it out for me so put that USB port in there make it firmwareupgradeable now the last thing I need them to do is make an option for unknownPokemon because this is an $80 device all the other devices have this optionit's kind of ridiculous not to see because a lot of times with thesedevices before that Pokemon loads up on my screen that little arrow comes up andit tries to catch it if my phone screens off I'm definitely not doing and youknow what if I miss out on a rare Pokemon I know why they put a siliconesleeve on this it's because I'm gonna frickin throw it at somebody I think Ibroke it I think I broke it oh boy if a new version of this came outwith some or most of these features I think they give the guys over at gotchaa run for their money even with the new gotcha evolve beingbasically a Fitbit with pokemon go features added in I think it'd be aclose competition but I'll pass it off to you do you think that the dualcatchmon has a place in the market or do you think your money's better spentelsewhere that's it for me today guys if you liked the video found it helpfulanyway I'll leave a like leave a comment and as always I'll see you in the nextone
